Good strong boots with steel toe caps, high ankle/lower shin chainsaw protection is Velcro fastened from the instep up so as to allow putting them on/off easier. Comfortable enough for me, but I have only worn them for one days work so far and I am not a pro arborist just an occasional chainsaw user around the farm. By the way northseaworkwear has the best price on the internet for these, I have seen them on sale on Amazon for up to £90
