Our choice of work jackets and parkas is truly extensive. So, to help you choose more easily, why not filter by brand or features? e.g. Flame retardant (FR) jacket or High visibility jacket (hi viz); waterproof jackets,
Notes to bear in mind:
Water resistant jackets only resist water (but if the water is pressured it can still seep in; A Waterproof Jacket is 100% barrier to water. The best jacket is a waterproof, breathable membrane – such as Hydratex, Sympatex or GoreTex. Gore-Tex is perceived as the very best waterproof breathable membrane. This is because Gore-Tex can withhold high pressure water from ingress and yet it allows air to circulate freely – so that the wearer does not overly sweat.
Driver’s jackets, soft shell fleeces and polar fleeces: these cotton or polyester jackets are typically for indoor use, and wearer warmth.
Hi viz work jackets are typically of the "3 in 1" or even "7 in 1" bomber jacket or parka variety – with removable sleeves, hoods, and even a zip out body warmer. Some of the hi viz jackets are multinorm jackets: - ie hi viz, waterproof, FR and Antistatic and even Arc resistant.
Jacket Buyers Guide:
1) Check the protection you need, as the more standards a jacket complies with, typically the more expensive it becomes.
2) Once you have narrowed down your selection, choose your size – we have size charts in place. Bear in mind that each brand can size differently, (but they do tend to be similar).
3) Colour and aesthetics: do you need to match your work jacket to trousers/leggings? Or even to a uniform?
4) Remember: we can logo any jacket: we typically embroider jackets used indoors and heatseal logo jackets used outdoors. (The heatseal doesnt break the waterproof skin of a jacket, whereas embroidery does). Logoing can easily take 5-7 days from the time we receive your artwork jpeg. Logoing details should be phoned or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
