EN388 Resistance to Abrasion Level 4The protection factor is indicated on a scale from 1 to 5 depending on how many revolutions are required to make a hole in the material. The higher the number, the better the glove.
EN388 Tear Resistance Level 2Based on the amount of force required to tear the sample glove. The protection factor is then indicated on a scale from 1 to 5.
EN388 Puncture Resistance Level 2Based on the amount of force required to pierce the sample glove with a standard sized point. The protection factor is then indicated on a scale from 1 to 5.
EN374 Protection Gloves Against ChemicalsTested and approved chemical gloves. Standard specifies the capability of gloves to protect the user against chemicals and/or micro-organisms.
EN511 Protection Against ColdThis standard applies to any gloves to protect the hands against convective and contact cold down to -50 °C.

These Comasec gauntlets are ideal for chemical handling: they are robust enough to withstand tears, yet strong enough to keep out aggressive chemicals/acids and dexterous enough to be practical. We use them quite a lot.
